In some cases we deliver a temporary number instead of the number ordered. With the temporary number you are able to configure and test the call routing before the final number is delivered. There can be 3 reasons for this:
For some numbers the local regulators demand verified information before a number may be delivered. This will be clearly indicated in the conditions when ordering a number, if that is the case. Once a number is ordered here you can see if information still needs to be provided:
The information can be uploaded after clicking on the icon and you are follow the status of the evaluation of the information.
- The ordered number is not yet available
In some cases it is simply not possible to deliver a number instantly. There are no specific prerequisites but the number simply needs to be requested before it can be delivered. We will notify you once the final number is delivered.
- Up or downgrade
When changing package, you are doing this on a live number. There are callers on the number. With the temporary number you have the possibility to configure and test the new package before switching the live number to the new package. This way you ensure your callers are routed correctly.
